100GB. 1.8". Toshiba. Hey, they all add up. So, Microsoft, can we expect a 100GB Zune in the future, or will Apple beat you to it?

Accessing the Zune Hard Drive

Posted by Aaron Roma in "Zune Talk" @ 11:00 AM

"This tutorial will tell you how to add, edit, create new files on the Zune, without using the software supplied by the Zune team."

For those of you just dying to be able to directly access your Zune's hard drive, well this hack is for you. Notice the Zune device icon in the above screenshot? Check out this helpful tutorial for the steps need to access your Zune as a USB hard drive. Hopefully this will be a standard feature of Zune with a future update. While this is a standard feature of many of today's portable devices, I've never had much need for the feature myself. Do you ever have a need to access your portable media player's storage?

Unofficial 80GB Zune Surfaces

Posted by Darius Wey in "Zune Hardware" @ 01:00 PM

"We have an exclusive photo of Zune with 80 GB hard disk. Stop holding your breath this is not from Microsoft, the guys at iPodMods just got their screwdrivers on Zune and this is their creation..."

Whack an 80GB drive in a Zune and all is golden - except for that slight issue of the drive being too big for the rear panel to be put back in place. However, you can probably expect hard-core modders to come up with a solution for that, and before you know it, it'll turn commercial.
