Zune Thoughts: Cool Zune Mapping Utility

“zNav is a utility program that uses Yahoo maps to build driving directions in an image format compatible with the Microsoft Zune. Additionally, you can do a business search for a location and create an image with the business name, address, phone number, and map. For any business found, you can get driving directions to or from that location.”

This found my way into my inbox last night and it’s pretty interesting! The program basically creates a series of images using Yahoo! Maps and saves them to a directory on your PC. If you set your Zune software up correctly, it should sync right over to your Zune.

This is especially neat because it will do both text directions and maps. With how large the Zune screen is, it is especially good for something like this. Follow this link to see more screenshots and download instructions! It’s good to see there’s some community development going on for Zune.
