Korean and Chinese Character Support for the Zune

"ZuneBoards has been notorious for number of hacks released in the past . 10 months after the Zune was released, we have proven to going strong. In our forums, one of our members named "Scheme " unveiled an idea that would allow the Zune to accept Korean and Chinese characters. Surely enough, it works! It's almost as easy as "dropping a font" into the System Partition. Of course, accessing the System Partition is the hardest part. Currently, you'll need to disassemble your Zune, but hopefully in the near future we'll get access to the System Partition without having to disassemble. That still doesn't give Microsoft a reason not to include Korean and Chinese. Seriously, wtf? Are they that lazy? Microsoft, I am really disappointed... WAKE UP. Where are the firmware updates you promised?"

This is one of those news items that many of you will pass over, but if you have songs in Chinese or Korean character format, this hack may interest you. I've read some people saying that support for these languages wasn't important because the Zune has only been released in the USA, but I'm fairly certain there are people living in the USA that speak Chinese or Korean and have music in those languages. More information and instructions over at Zune Boards.
