With the Zune 2.0 firmware, Microsoft loosened the restrictions on song sharing via wifi, but for many, this still isn't good enough. For those who typically send the same collection of songs to many different people (a musician or promoter, for example) or those wishing to share any type of file at all, the solution may lie in ICHWM. ICHWM (named after a Mitch Hedberg quote: "It's Cool, He's With Me") allows you to embed any file into the metadata of a "container" image. One simply needs to drag the desired file into the standalone ICHWM executable, and it will package it as a Zune-readable JPEG. To unpack, drag the JPEG into ICHWM, and presto: your file!
Sure, it isn't a perfect solution, but it works like a charm. Best of all, it works on both the old and new firmwares (I've been using it since March), and it's the best I've seen so far.
